Here you will find directions on how to reach the Gardar BA 64 wreck and my tips for taking photos.
The wreck is located on a beach in the Westfjords of Iceland. It’s easily accessible even by conventional vehicle (a 4×4 isn’t necessary). There’s free parking near the wreck, and the photos are beautiful because you can see the mountain behind it and the fjord. Drone flights are also possible in the area.
It is not permitted nor even advisable to climb onto the wreck.
The BA64 ship is Iceland’s oldest, dating back to the Titanic era. It is abandoned and located in the Westfjords of Iceland.
