Plaza de toros in Seville

If you go to Seville you can’t miss the famous bullring. I am against bullfights, but this square is really beautiful to see, especially when it is empty. I really like the intense yellow color of the sand and the red of the fences.

To appreciate it I recommend you visit it at times when there are few people, this way you can see the intense color of the arena very well. In fact, access to the actual arena is permitted, as well as to the lower stands.

The oval effect of the arena is very beautiful, with the stands of different categories, some are under the arches.

Construction of the Plaza de Toros began in 1749 and was completed in 1761. It was built by the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla, a prestigious institution of cavalrymen.

The bullring is an excellent example of Spanish Baroque architecture. It features a circular arena surrounded by seating tiers, typically adorned with colorful ceramic tiles and ornate ironwork. The arena can handle 14.000 people.
