The park of Keukenhof

Keukenhof Gardens in the Netherlands is one of the most famous and spectacular flower gardens in the world, located near the town of Lisse, not far from Amsterdam. It is best known for its extraordinary display of tulips, the Dutch national symbol, but is also home to a wide variety of other spring flowers such as hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, roses, carnations, and many others.

It is open only in spring, during the tulip blooming season. To see the opening times, you must connect to the official website

The 2026 opening period is from March 19th to May 10th.

The park covers approximately 32 hectares, and approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted each year. There are also markets and exhibitions where you can see many species of tulips.

How to reach it

The park is easily accessible by car; there’s convenient paid parking (in which case, it’s best to buy a ticket and parking fee). Alternatively, the park is well served by public transport from Amsterdam. I recommend using GetYourGuide’s transfer service.
