Wat Phra That Suthon Mongkhon Khiri is one of Thailand’s lesser-known but beautiful temples. It’s not often visited because it’s difficult to reach, being located halfway between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.

It is known for its large reclining Buddha. Although it is very recent, the style is very distinctive because it is a fusion of Lanna and Burmese styles.

At the entrance there is a Lanna style lion (singha)

This is the interior of the temple, very well kept, even with frescoed walls.
